Today is the first day of 2012 so I've decided to do something nice and dedicating some of my time to make people happier; be it the person featured in this post or the readers. Or probably myself. I'm not too sure.

Anyway, this is being trying to be the awesomest BFF i can be by using my great photoshopping skills to make him look gorgeous.

People on the streets

There are just too many people roaming the streets these days I’m starting to think that I’m claustrophobic.

I wish that I’m kidding with the number of people roaming on the streets.

There are kids. EVERYWHERE. And they never seem to have parents taking care of them reining them.

I mean don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love kids but when they are so freaking ass annoying something is wrong somewhere.

Remember the days when your parents will scream at you when you just walk 2 steps too far? Well those days no longer exist. And how I miss those days, when kids actually don’t scream and yell and think they are all F1 cars.

Really, if you want to be a parent, TAKE YOUR CHILD IN HAND! There were countless times kids bump around in the sea of people in orchard and I can never seem to find their parents. And on the rare occasions that I actually find their parents, they are usually either talking, staring into space and ignoring my angry stares, essentially just being bad parents.

And when was the last time you can actually walk around without having to squeeze every inch when you walk? No really, if you people want to chit chat and talk and laugh, go ahead! Just spend some money and you can sit down at Starbucks or something and you can talk and laugh and gesture all you want and I wouldn’t say anything. I would judge you definitely but I wouldn’t really say anything because you are not actually affecting me in any way. Or if you are really that cheapskate, just keep your arms and legs to yourself and not swing it EVERYWHERE. By everywhere I really do mean everywhere. Its like the robots dancing on Real Steel. Its horrid. People nowadays have no public etiquettes.

I don’t think I’m asking for much, all I want is a place that I can walk without the crowd ripping off all the oxygen in the mall is that so tough?

Everytime I am in town and I stand near 313 I can almost just see the millions of heads along the stretch of the road towards Ion.

Don’t even get me started on those linedancings that practically stalls the roads.

I really should find somewhere new to go to. Like Vivocity with their god forbidden bad receptions, or Nex where there is nothing but food, or Sentosa that is so expensive that only foreigners can afford.

Mission Impossible 4

YAY!

Tom Cruise's latest action flick Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol is finally out!!

We went to catch it on the opening day because I have been looking forward to it for the longest time!

BUT before that, we have to fill our stomachs and because we absolutely have no idea where to go, we decided to head to Victor's Kitchen for some good-O-HK dim sum.

This is our first time here but Im guessing its the first of many times to come!

As usual, we ordered too much and ended up being too full for words because of our pure greed.

This is their signature NAI HUANG PAO so you can see this dish on every table and MY GOD IS IT GOOD. The golden buttery custard fillings just flows out when you bite it and its just pure goodness!

My MUST-EAT for any dim sum treats. PORK RIBS! I'm not going to deny I'm an absolute meat lover. Though not as anal about veggies as my bf but I do love meat. And this meat is a tad too bony for me but the seasoning is just right.

CARROT CAKE!!!

Can't believe how the traditional squarish steamed carrot cake can actually come in a BOWL right? This is my favorite dish of the whole meal. Sweet and with crunchy bits it's absolutely delicious. We ordered this with the XO sauce and one of the waitresses came and see that there's no XO sauce being served to us so she gave a very annoyed sound and TADAH! our XO sauce is here even without us having to complain!

Truth is we didn't actually know that our XO sauce didn't come if she didn't take the initiative to give us but honestly very good service from them!

SIEW MAI

Summer Milk Tea. What's so special about this tea is that the ice is in the bowl to bring down the temperature of the tea rather than putting it into the cup so that the tea isn't diluted. SO SMART RIGHT?? This is apparently how the hongkongers take their milk tea in the summer but oddly enough I have never seen this when I was in Hong Kong. Hmm.

Super interesting dish. Within the chee chong fun is youtiao!! One little tip is to choose the ends because the youtiaos are crunchy so it's a really different flavor!

Fish porridge with century egg. Didn't like it. At all.

BF's favorite. Hargao. Very crunchy prawns.

What's so cool about this eatery is that the staff's are mostly Hongkongers and they speak Cantonese to you! It's really cool and unique and I suddenly remembered the experience when I was in Hong Kong. Oh god I miss those times.

So after the ABSOLUTELY AWESOME MI:4, we went to have dinner at Aston's. It has really been awhile since I went to Aston's but it's a trip worth.

This is their Prime cut Rib-Eye Extra cut. DELICIOUS. Love the thickness and that its not too well done; plus the mashed potato is still to-die-for!

BIRTHDAY POST!!

FINALLY!

I have finally updated my blog!

One week ago, I have finally turned 22 on the 2nd of December and this year, a very special man spent it with me!

To make me feel special, he woke up LATE. HAHA!

But it was really sweet how he tries so hard and because he woke up late, he apologized so hard in my very irritated face because I didn't have enough sleep :(

So what happened was that he took really really long after he showered to get to my place when its like a 15minute bus ride away. Me, being really smart, knows that he must be getting some food that I like. But, at the same time, me, in a really pms-sy mood was too lazy and irritated to even go shower.

AND, right before he reached my place, guess what I did.

I went to shit.

Came out from the toilet and got the shock of my life seeing my dear bf sitting there pouting and telling me that "You couldn't wait for 5 minutes to shit? You spoilt my surprise for you!"

BUT I went to the room and TADAH!!!

This beautiful bouquet was sitting on my extremely messy study table!!!

According to my bf, because I seemed too annoyed at him waking up late, he got me a bigger bouquet than he originally intended! SO YAY ME!!!

And my really awesome bf got a Instax 250 (or something along the line) from his friend and he took this of me immediately after I prepped!

I know it looks really pageant-y but still hot right?? Ignore the messy background at the back. DON'T JUDGE ME. I have a lot of clothes and too little space. Blame HDB for not building bigger flats haha.

Because we are like the most disgusting couple of the year, we snapped a lot of pictures on the train to town but because my skin isn't really that thick I shall only post some of it!

This is my favorite shot! We look so compatible right!

Birthday cake was really awesome because we went to my favorite cafe Canele. Oddly enough we were the youngest over there I have no idea why. And there was this supposedly management level guy beside me who kept lifting his smelly shoes up to adjust the straps I don't actually get his actions but I guess when you are rich you can do whatever you want haha!

This is what bf ordered. I think it's called chocolate royale or something like that and this is really delicious! It taste a lot like chocolate bar but its a cake! So when you put the 'cake' in your mouth its like eating a snickers bar or something. It tends a little to the sweet side so it gets a little jelat after a while.

AND THIS. This is the Matcha cake. THIS IS THE BEST GREEN TEA MOUSSE CAKE I HAVE EVER HAD. Its fluffy and soft, sweet but not overpowering. I can eat this all day. And the best part of this cake is the almond bits that is the base of the cake. Fruity and refreshing, bringing out the taste of the cake perfectly.

So the real reason why I DIE DIE had to blog about the birthday was because bf brought me to this SUPER ATAS japanese restaurant GINZA KUROSON. The reason why it is so atas is because most people go in to have their set course and there is only 3 set course. $75, $100 and $150.

I KNOW RIGHT. That was the face I gave when bf told me he made a reservation at this restaurant for the $150 PER PAX meal. I mean 2 person $150 is fine, but really? ONE PERSON?

Well really my bf cheated me because he told me if he cancels the reservation he would have to pay a 50% surcharge so we die die have to go.

Of cos the restaurant don't do that.

But its really sweet and smart of him to say that right??

So after walking really far from zouk, we finally got to Robertson Quay.

Even the sign looks atas, which it really is. We look like 2 suagus going into the restaurant, and we were the youngest customer in the restaurant.

Lucky for us, the service was really awesome and the crews are really patient in explaining to us how to eat each dish so kudos to them!

In the end, we decided to just order one $150 set course along with 2 ala-cartes.

The appetizer! Its like clams but its cold so initially I was really reluctant to eat it but I'm thankful i did. This is really awesome, refreshing and just enough to make us want more.

The entree is really exquisite. Super pretty with the spoon there and all but I'm not a big fan of this, mainly because it's really cold and most of the things just tasted odd to my ahlian tongue.

The sashimi plate! I am a hugeeeeeee fan of sashimis and the fishes here are flown in every day. In simple terms, they is sit airplane here to be eaten by us.

Really really fresh, but pity its not cold enough but I CANT EXPLAIN HOW NICE IT IS. The flesh is so tender you can almost believe they died right before they came to your table.

This little fried prawns are from SHIMANTO RIVER. Initially I was laughing at their names then I remembered these little prawns are the only things I eat that I know exactly where they came from.

Even though its fried, there's not an inch of greasiness and it still taste surprisingly fresh for something that was fried. Really love this dish.

Do not underestimate this fish. IT IS HUMONGOUS. I have no idea how anyone can finish this entire fish on their own. The best part of this charcoal-grilled fish is that it's only seasoning was the sea salt and it still taste superb.

SNAPPER in cream sauce. Absolutely fabulous. FABULOUS.

I will never ever eat any other tempuras other than this. Although steep at 5 for $25, the prawns are super crunchy and the batter is lightly flaked. AWESOME.

Best rare Wagyu that's been in my mouth before. Bf was more suagu and tell me this is medium-rare because he don't eat rare. But when he was happily munching, his beautiful gf kindly informed him: With all the blood dripping, how can this be medium-rare?

SUPER TENDER SUPER NICE.

I was really looking forward to the sushis but they were really disappointing. We didn't even finish the plate.

I totally love this dessert. Tasted like a cross between melted ice-cream and pudding! YUMMS!

So while walking out, looking at the river, guess who jumped out?

MY 3 BFFS CAME DOWN TO SURPRISE ME!! With another cake!

But its terribly sweet of the three of them to come down, I was really touched and totally heart them <3<3

They opened a bottle of Rosa Champagne and being a wine lover, I loved it!

And here they are, being total clowns like the poly days, how I remembered and loved.

And I've never felt more blessed to be given such a wonderful boyfriend and great friends.
